Hey All - Hope all is well and I know I've been a little slack on my Blogging. I have so many things I want to blog But I just run of time to share. I've been wanting to talk about my assistant Ricardo for a long time so this is his spot light. I believe the very best way to cover a wedding is with two photographers. Prior to the ceremony there is no way to cover both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids completely w/out two photographers. During the Ceremony there are many moments when multiple angles are necessary too. For instance, I always want to get the bride coming down the aisle but I don't want to miss the look on the grooms face. Finally, I need someone to take care of the details for me like my bags and equipment so that I'm freed up to shoot. Ricardo is my core assistant and he does amazing work. He hopes to one day have his own studio and to shoot families, weddings, and children. I was so impressed with his coverage during a ceremony about a month ago that I wanted to show what he got. So here ya go - This is Ricardo shooting mostly B/W photojournalism at Peter & Courtney Odlands Ceremony in South Haven MI. He does a great job seeing the light and timing his frames for that decisive moment. Cheers to you Ricardo! Well Done!
