Henry Ford Museum Wedding Photography - Neely & Chris

When Neely called me about 15 months ago to talk about her wedding I knew it was meant to be...for her and Chris naturally but also for photography. Neely and Chris are both historians at heart (Chris is a history teacher) and they planned their whole wedding around the theme of history. The Henry Ford Museum being a perfect fit. Let me just say I've never had anyone ask me if they can have their photograph taken in front of a memorial coin. That was cool though guys! That coin was really cool! To add to the theme I brought the old Deardorf 8x10 view camera and a Old Kodak Folding camera from the 30's. The kodak was gifted to me from family about a year ago and we were blown away by the fact that it still had Black and white film from the circa 50's still inside with 3 exposures left. I've been cherishing each one of the shots and I used one up on Neely and Chris. 2 left - It might be years before I take those other two. We will see if anything comes of it. Guys it was a beautiful wedding - you two are amazing sweet people and I was blessed to be there. Thanks so much for hiring me and enjoy the images! Ceremony & Reception: http://www.thehenryford.org/ Joanne was awesome btw - Their whole team there is super sweet. Some of the best in Detroit. Just good people. Reception Band: Rhythm Society Orchestra Female Vocalists at Reception: The Satin Dolls Special Guest Band: WMU marching Band (they're hard to get, I think you gotta know someone ;)

Why are make up shots so beautiful - is it just me. I love the color palette...

Neely's make up artist was amazing. Two words: Air Brush. It was awesome - You gotta have it done.

Dad...

Love the layers here - your eye darts everywhere trying to interpret.

I don't know why my wife took this shot -but those monkey shorts...what can I say...

Love the hair.

They wanted all the wedding party shot inside the museum - pretty cool!

Timeless...

They had two swing dance instructors and they were amazing. These guys may have taken it a little over the top...

Love the layers again - gobo, video guy, mic guy, silhoette, guests.

Two of my favorite first dance shots ever. I knew when I pushed the button.
